Expedition Minca

We are operating agency based on eco-tourism dedicated to the conservation of of the environmental terrotory, nature tourism and environmental protection in the territory of Minca and the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta.
Our main focus is to protect end preserve the environment by providing knowledge, makin good use and exploitation of our natural resources, becoming a socio-sustainable and cultural development for the region. It is a coffe and cocoa producing area, with a height of 600 meters above sea level being the ecological capital of Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta located just 21km from the capital Santa Marta-Magdalena-Colombia.
In this place we can enjoy beautuful rivers and mountains with a spectacular climate just a few minutes from the city of Santa Marta. Minca is experiencing a transformation process.
Thanks to Ecotourism, many peasant families benefit from the tourism value chain due to the mecca of biodiversity that these sacred mountains protect. Highlighting that it is the area with the largest number of endemic birds in the country. Bird watching is the most famous activitiy practiced in its surroundings, with Europeans and Americans being the main visitors.
Come and enjoy our different tourist plants, visiting unique places in the Sierra Nevada, this has a maxium height of 5. 775 meters above sea level where we can find the snowcapped peaks of Santa Marta, we can see this from the highest mountain in these foothills called Minca.
